Hot off the press:
AHCCCS released the SB1011 driven: "Maternal Mental Health Advisory Committee Report of Recommendations." with the recommendation to "Increase PSI Certified Perinatal Mental Health Providers."
The report gives AZ legislators a clear, actionable roadmap with three main goals to ensure every birthing person & family statewide will have access to culturally appropriate information, social support and informed professional care for mental health issues related to childbearing:
1. Access to informed providers
2. Ample insurance coverage
3. Adequate screening
Thank you to PMHCs & AZ-PSI Members: Dr. Jennie Bever, Michelle Lacy, LPC & Ann Marie Casey, PMHNP for serving on this committee and helping form these recommendations!
