As 2023 draws to a close, we at Postpartum Support International - Arizona Chapter (PSI-AZ) are thrilled to reflect on a monumental year chock-full of achievements and growth. We invite you to explore our Annual Impact Report for a detailed view of our journey.
Top 10 Highlights of 2023:
Historic BIPOC-only Perinatal Mental Health Training: In collaboration with Arizona Birthworkers of Color, we hosted the first-ever training dedicated to BIPOC providers.
Over 200 Scholarships Awarded: Thanks to support from AZ Department of Health Services, Blue Cross Blue Shield of Arizona Foundation, and Potter's Hand Foundation, we've made significant strides in education and support.
Perinatal Mental Health Equity and Access Group: Establishing Arizona's first group focused on equity and access in perinatal mental health care.
Birthing Justice Film Screening: A successful event co-hosted with Arizona Birthworkers of Color and the Cihuapactli Collective. Read the summary of participants’ recommendations here!
Co-Organizing Mental Health Day at the Capitol: Raising awareness, promoting education, and fostering policy changes to support mental health and well-being in Arizona.
Membership Expansion: We've welcomed more members (a 60% increase!!!) into our community, strengthening our support network.
Volunteer Growth: A heartfelt thank you to our dedicated volunteers across the state whose contributions have been invaluable.
Outreach Success: Our experts have facilitated 17 presentations to providers / organizations and actively participated in 8 community events, spreading awareness and education.
Expanding Our Network: Our PMH-C network has grown 30% compared to last year, enhancing access to informed care.
Active Participation in Key Events: Our presence was felt across 9 major events, such as the AZ Rural Women’s Health Symposium and the AIM Collaborative Conference.
