A Toast to APAL's Success!
Join us in celebrating the six-month anniversary of the Arizona Perinatal Psychiatry Access Line (APAL)! In just a short period, APAL has responded to over 100 calls, reaching healthcare professionals across various fields, including:
RNs,
doulas,
NPs,
PAs, and
MDs specializing in family medicine, psychiatry, and OB/GYN.
Serving ~80% of Arizona's counties, APAL has proved to be an indispensable resource, especially for those caring for AHCCCS or uninsured individuals. APAL’s impact goes beyond answering calls; they’ve provided nearly 40 training sessions to healthcare providers. 💼 Scholarship Update
To date in 2024, we have awarded 93 of our 400+ scholarships for certification training or PMH-C exams. Who is eligible? All who work with the perinatal population or their children (birth - 5) are eligible, however, we continue to prioritize scholarships for:
Providers who serve less-populous areas (non-Maricopa, non-Pima counties)
Providers of color
Providers who accept AHCCCS
Next scholarship application deadline is Feb 17 @ midnight AZ time.
